I work with several different media, using them individually or together. These include painting, collage and assemblage.
I prefer the laconic phrase and the minimalism of the composition. Often an object takes center stage and is where the narrative begins. My works are rather monochrome imprints of memory – snapshots. The texture surface I create has absorbed the information about what happened. I like to go beyond the horizon of the canvas and create additional volumes and surfaces.
I usually work in series and stick to a certain format. So I can focus on a specific idea and present it in a different perspective, explore my idea in depth. My studio is more often a laboratory in which I experiment and challenge my imagination.
